  • If you want a very relaxing place surrounded byature and fresh fruit from the many fruit trees, this is a tranquil environment and very safe. You will go to sleep at night listening to the sound of the stream, and wake up in the morning with the sound of the many variety of birds that make this property their habitat due to the abundance of fruit.
  • The total size of the property is one acre, or 3000 square meters of land that is beautifully landscaped, with palms tree and tropical plants everywhere. Also there are dozens of orchids and bromelias throughout the property.
  • The land was designed to include trails that lead throughout the property, leading to beautiful flora, plants, and eventually to the gazebo next to the stream, as well as the swimming pool. There is also a three meters tall sculpture/fountain.

  • There is a large selection of fruits, roots and spices. Many eatable roots, such as taro, yampin, yucca can be found. Also there are a few coffee plants that you can feel free to collect the coffee beans and roast yourself. Spices such as peppers, black pepper, oregano and ginger are available on the property.
  • The variety of fruits depends of the time of the year, but you will always find some kind of fruit available. We have passion fruit, a few mango trees, many bananas trees, a few coconut trees, mazana d'agua, a few guanabana trees, cashew fruit, six species of limes, a few orange trees, tangerines, many papaya trees, momon chino, cass, avocado, etc.

  • During the day there are many birds that make this property their home. Although not often, toucans come down the mountain and stop by the property to eat the papaya fruits. We often see many colorful birds, colors such as turquoise or emerald green, yellow, blue celests, parrots, parakeets, flocks of hummingbirds of all colors.
  • Our property has many trees and fruits trees that provides food for the birds and also nesting. There dozens of bird's nest in the yeard, including many hummingbirds. We have also many varierty of flowers and orchings that attrack many hummings. Birds and hummingbirds pretty much live in the property all year around.
  • This area is a very safe, and is visited by tourists from all over the world. The locals are very nice and are always ready to help anyone in any situation. We bought this property in this town because it is a very quite and safe community. There are supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, gas stations, bakeries, police station, hospital, and churches from walking distance to a 5 minutes drive from the house.

  • The house is located 2.5 hours from the airport in San Jose . It is both an easy and beautiful drive. The town where the house is located is called “San Jose the La Tigra”, or “La Tigra”. The house is approximately a 4 minute drive from “downtown” La Tigra.
  • The house was recently fully remodeled and new features were added. There are large screened windows throughout the house, and also ceiling fans. The interior was designed to be open and bright and is full of colors and good taste. The floors are tiled with high end Italian and Brazilian ceramic. There is plenty of natural light in the house, with skylights in every room. The entrance to the house is gated with room for 2-3 cars. A phone is also available for local calls for no additional charge.

  • The living room is very spacious with natural sunlight coming from one large window and one double-size window. There is one skylight and two ceiling fans. There is large "L" shape couch facing the river.

  • The bathroom is especially large, with the over-sized shower area separated from the toilet. The walls and floors are tiled, and a sink was custom made to fit from wall to wall. There is plenty of natural sunlight through the entire bathroom.

  • There are two large bedrooms - one with a large queen bed, a skylight, one large window and ceilling fan. The other bedroom contains two twin beds, three large windows, and one skylight. There is also a very comfortable queen size mattress available, and the sofa is comfortable also.

  • The dining area seats 6-8 people. This area opens to the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is modern and fully stocked with cookware, spices, kitchen utensils such as a blender, juice maker, coffee maker, plates, cups, flatware, and probably everything else that you will need for your comfort. Also, there is a refrigerator, a six burner stove, a large kitchen armoire and three sinks (the Costa Rican standard) that face the river. There is plenty of sunlight from the three large windows in the kitchen from which you can look out to see the many birds feeding on fruit. rge "L" shape couch facing the river
  • he Rancho, or outdoor dining and relaxation area, is approximately 15 square meters, and contains a very large two deck grill. The grill measures approximately 1.5 meters or around 5 feet wide. There is also a double sink and a table to sit 6-8 people. There is a covered path leading from the kitchen to the rancho.

  • Located in the back of the property, close to the river, is a gazebo that is approximately 6 meters in diameter. Adjoining the gazebo is a swimming pool with a custom-made waterfall that cascades into the pool.
